About Hans Lucas
Career:
After completing his technical vocational education in Analytical Chemistry, Hans started in 1986 as Organic Chemist in the research laboratories of NV Organon where he finally grew into the position of Group leader. Some 15 year later, Hans made the move to the R&D Quality Department of MSD Oss and executed different roles with increasing responsibilities such as Section Head of Compliance and Global Lead Medical Devices Quality. During this period, Hans graduated in 2007 from the Anglia Ruskin University (UK) and received his master degree in Science in Quality Management in Regulated & Scientific R&D. In 2011, Hans proceeded his career as Associate Director Quality Systems & Compliance in the Pharmaceutical Development Department of MSD Oss. Three years later, Hans moved to a production environment in the role of Quality Systems Manager in the Pharmaceutical Operations Quality Organization of MSD Oss
In March 2017, Hans decided to deploy his more than 30 years’ experience outside MSD Oss and he became a Principal Consultant within Rescop BV. Over the last two years, Hans was actively involved in different assignments such as supporting organizations in the successful completion of FDA inspections, validating an electronic archiving system and executing several QMS assessments. The work was always challenging and – more importantly – also very rewarding when the assignment was completed to the satisfaction of the customer. It was for this reason that Hans decided to start his own company Lucas GxP Consultancy as of May 1st, 2019.
Hans brings in a thorough knowledge of the GxPs - in the fields of Drug Products, API’s, Medical Devices and Device / Drug Combinations – and is able to “translate” regulatory requirements into simple and effective Quality Systems. He has practical experience in auditing, Third Party Quality Management, Quality Risk Management, Deviation / CAPA Management, Change Management, Product Quality Reviews and was actively involved in a number of Competent Authority Inspections / Notified Body certification audits. Skills that characterize Hans’ working style are the ability to create structure in complex situations, his strong listening and communication skills and the focus to achieve required results.
